VERMILLION, Ohio (WJW) — It’s spring in northeast Ohio and once again some unique and unusual animals are making unexpected appearances in backyards and local parks.
The most recent one comes from Vermilion, where FOX 8 viewer Matthew Ritz captured video of a white-tailed squirrel. In a message to FOX 8, Ritz said the little guy (or gal) has been hanging around their backyard for a couple of weeks.

White, or albino, are some of the most common, yet rare, animals we see.

Last year, a picture of a black squirrel with a white tail, white paws, and a white mouth were shared by FOX 8 viewer Sydney Sherrieb in Wooster.
And a couple years ago, a white squirrel with black-tipped tail and paws was spotted in Hartville.
