EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A major employer in Evansville is closing its doors and hundreds of jobs are on the line.
RESRG Automotive confirms it will shut down its North Congress Avenue plant by the end of the year, a move that will eliminate 266 jobs. The cuts will happen in five phases starting in June with layoffs continuing through December.
Most of those jobs are hourly positions, and while the company says it will try to place workers at other locations, many families here will be forced to find new work…
