Ankle monitor to stay after victim testimony on Dec. Myrtle Beach resort assault

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — A judge denied a Myrtle Beach man’s request to remove his ankle monitor in a violent assault case.

Anthony Mishoe, charged with first-degree assault and battery, appeared in court on Thursday regarding a Dec. incident at the Sea Watch Resort.

Arrest warrants related to the incident said that on Dec. 28, Mishoe confronted and assaulted the victim by hitting him in the head with a semi-automatic firearm. The victim had visible injuries, including a “severe laceration above his eye and a bite mark and bruising from the altercation that ensued following the initial assault,” according to the warrant.
