Pedestrian killed in fatal North Texas carjacking, police say

DALLAS — A pedestrian was killed during a carjacking in Dallas April 16, police said.

Around 5:30 p.m. April 16, the Dallas Police Department responded to a robbery in progress call near the intersection of Collett Avenue and Live Oak Street.

Police said a suspect jumped into a passing vehicle, pushed the driver out and sped away. The suspect then crashed into a car in the 1200 block of Collett Avenue. The impact of the crash struck a pedestrian, who was transported to the hospital where they died, according to police…
