SOCORRO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Texas Education Agency Conservator Michael Hinojosa announced Wednesday that he plans to step away from the Socorro Independent School District in approximately two months, signaling what could be the final phase of state oversight.
Hinojosa made the announcement during a Socorro ISD School Board meeting, telling trustees, “You got two more months with me, I’ll be back,” as he outlined the district’s remaining priorities before his exit.
