It’s great that Loveland has been chosen to be the first U.S. location of a Danish manufacturing company, specializing in the space, energy and defense sectors. Colorado, Arizona and California were all considered; for Loveland to get the nod elevates the city’s “street cred.”
Who is the Company Bringing New Jobs to Loveland, Colorado?
The company, Multicut, was founded in 1998 in Denmark, as a highly-ambitious machine shop. Their goal was to take on whatever milling and machining demand was thrown at them; the harder the job, the better.
What Does Multicut Do?
Today they deliver advanced machined components to the most demanding industrial production sectors in the world: To the global energy industry, to Green-tech, to defense and aerospace applications, and more. According to a press release form Loveland, Governor Polis is excited that:
…Multicut will be bringing 82 jobs supporting the growth of Colorado’s defense industry.
This company coming, with jobs related to the defense industry, reminds me of how Loveland was set to work for NASA back in 2012. It involved thousands of high-tech jobs at what was the former Hewlett Packard (HP) campus. All of that, for whatever reason, fell through; but the HP campus is a part of Multicut’s plan…
