Fastest way to order Ohio birth certificates, other important documents

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Whether for a passport, a name change, or legal paperwork, getting copies of a birth certificate, a marriage abstract, or other important documents is often necessary, but not always straightforward.

While an initial internet search for these records might turn up third-party sites, using such a service is typically more expensive and ultimately does not offer any time savings, as the government agency determines the processing. How to order a birth certificate in Ohio
