SALISBURY — Cheerwine announced Subee Vongsavanh from Myrtle Beach, S.C., as the winner of the 2026 Cheerwine Festival T-shirt Design Contest, along with the festival entertainment lineup that features Billy Joel tribute band, The Stranger.
Vongsavanh, a senior at Carolina Forest High School, is the first winner from South Carolina in the contest’s history. Her design features a Cheerwine bottle as the “Nectar of the South,” which is framed by North Carolina dogwoods and honeybees. The T-shirt is already available for preorder on the Cheerwine festival website.
Vongsavanh explains she included North Carolina’s state flower and insect to reflect the state’s natural beauty and peaceful feel. She also incorporated “Nectar of the South” to highlight Cheerwine’s sweetness…
