Rochelle man accused of driving while drunk, fleeing from deputies

ROCHELLE, Ill. (WIFR) – A Rochelle man faces felony charges Thursday after deputies say he fled from them while intoxicated.

Montavion D Ross, 43, is charged with:

  • aggravated DUI during period when driving privileges revoked for prior DUI
  • DUI- alcohol
  • fleeing or attempt to elude an officer
  • possession of drug paraphernalia
  • resisting/obstructing a police officer
  • various traffic violations

Ross also had an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear.

Around 9:45 p.m., April 16, deputies tried to pull over a van in 3300 block of S IL Route 251. The vehicle reportedly fled south down the road, eventually stopping just north of the intersection with Flagg Road in Rochelle…
