Denver weather: Snow showers, freeze warning on Friday

Winter-like conditions return to the Denver metro area on Friday as snow and frigid temperatures could have widespread impacts, the weather service said.

The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect snow showers in Denver mainly before 3 p.m. on Friday. However, since the roads are so warm, not much is expected to stick. Less than an inch of accumulation is expected, meteorologists said.

Areas to the west and south of Denver could see slightly more accumulation, with 4 to 6 inches possible in Evergreen and 2 to 3 inches in Castle Rock, the weather service said…
