KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — This weekend is set to be busy across East Tennessee, from events like the Spring Rod Run to ongoing road work. 6 News anchor Bo Williams is breaking down what you need to know to avoid any travel delays this weekend.
The 2026 Spring Rod Run kicked off on Thursday and is set to run through Saturday. The public is warned to be aware of additional traffic in and around Pigeon Forge. The show is at the LeConte Center; however, traffic will spill over to primary, secondary, and tertiary roads.
In Knoxville, the Rossini Festival is on Saturday and Sunday. Starting at 4 p.m. Friday Market Street between Clinch & Cumberland and Union Ave between Walnut & Gay Street will be closed. Then at midnight on Saturday, Market Street between Church & Clinch and Clinch Ave between Walnut & Gay Street will close. All the roads will reopen at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday…
