Driver failed to yield to Horry County officer with lights and siren on, troopers say

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – State troopers are placing blame on the other car involved in a crash with a Horry County police officer earlier this month.

The crash happened at 6:50 p.m. on April 5 on South Highway 701 near Lucas Bay Road in the Bucksport area.

A report from the South Carolina Highway Patrol shows that a Horry County police officer was traveling south with lights and siren activated at about 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
