RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Three people have been shot at the Triangle Town Center mall in Raleigh on Friday afternoon, according to police. At least one person has been taken into custody for questioning at a hospital in Raleigh.
The Raleigh Police Department initially said two people, a man and a woman, were shot near the food court inside the shopping center. Both people have been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Shortly before 5 p.m., Raleigh police confirmed a third person injured in the Triangle Town Center shooting showed up to another hospital in Raleigh with a gunshot wound to the hand.
According to the department, the shooting may have stemmed from a “verbal exchange” that turned into a fight between people who were likely familiar with each other. A gun was found at the scene, police said, but they are still looking for the suspect or suspects in the shooting…
