TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. – Thousands of visitors are expected to flood Tybee Island this weekend as the popular Orange Crush festival returns in a newly organized format known as “Crush Reloaded.”
Now in its second year as a permitted, structured event, the three-day festival runs April 17–19, with the main celebration set for Saturday on Tybee’s beaches. Officials anticipate crowds of around 30,000 people, bringing significant impacts to traffic, parking, and public safety both on the island and in nearby Savannah.
Preparations are already visible across Tybee Island. Traffic cones line major routes like Butler Avenue, part of a broader strategy to manage congestion and maintain emergency access during peak hours.
