MANGUM, Okla. – A Missouri hunter was airlifted to a hospital on Thursday after being shot by a fellow hunter in southwest Oklahoma, authorities said.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, a man was brought to a hospital in Oklahoma City after being accidentally shot by another man who was hunting in the area near Mangum. ODWC officials say the two men were hunting together when the shooting happened.
ODWC Chief of the Communication and Education Micah Holmes said a game warden is actively investigating the incident, which occurred on the opening day of the month-long spring turkey hunting season. He said the exact location of the shooting has not been released…
