Person rescued in Cudahy after getting stuck knee-deep in the mud

The Cudahy Fire Department responded to a call early Friday morning of a person who was stuck in the mud near the beach on Lake Michigan, the fire department announced in a statement.

Deputies from the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office found the individual who had sunk up to his knees in a muddy area along the lakefront near the Warnimont Golf Course.

Due to the terrain and mud from the recent storms, deputies were unable to reach the person safely.

Firefighters were able to get down the bluff to access the person, who was suffering from hypothermia due to being exposed to the elements for an extended period of time…
