WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Update: The Wichita Police Department said a 25-year-old woman was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and a 29-year-old man was in custody and being questioned by investigators following a shooting reported Friday morning at the Remington Apartments, off of 37th Street North between Woodlawn and Rock Road.
At the scene, a public information officer with the WPD said that the man was the one who called 911 to report the shooting. Police said that based on preliminary information, the shooting is being investigated as “a domestic-related incident.”
