Anchorage school measures failing as district outlines impacts

The Anchorage School District is responding after voters appear to have rejected two major ballot measures aimed at supporting local schools.

Proposition 1, which would have funded school safety and security upgrades, and Proposition 9, designed to help retain more than 80 teachers, are both on a path to fail.
