NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk police are investigating an assault incident that was first reported as a shooting near the Downtown Norfolk Transit Center.
Police said they were called to the 400 block of St. Paul’s Boulevard around 4 p.m. after receiving the report of a gunshot victim. When units arrived on scene, they instead found a man who had been injured from an assault, during which a suspect used a weapon to strike the man.
The injured man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries…
