MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man is behind bars after allegedly leading police on a chase with an infant in the car, according to the Mobile Police Department.

Police say they tried to stop 22-year-old Jayson Barnes for speeding just after 7 a.m. Thursday.

Officers say Barnes then reportedly sped off near I-10 westbound and Broad Street before getting stopped by traffic on Rangeline Road.
