BELVIDERE — It has been more than two years since SS Subs served up one of its classic Italian beef sandwiches. For Mark Loewe, the restaurant’s comeback was worth driving more than 700 miles.
Loewe, a former Lake in the Hills resident now living in Erwin, Tennessee, made the trip to downtown Belvidere on Saturday to be among the first customers at SS Subs Reloaded, 106 S.
