West Jackson Fire Board Chairman retires after over 20 years of service

The West Jackson Fire Department (WJFD) announced the retirement of a longtime board member and chairman Tim Sweat.

Sweat dedicated more than 20-years of service to the Braselton and Hoschton communities, culminating in his retirement on Tuesday.

“The successes of this department don’t happen without board support, and Chairman Sweat gave us that in every way,” WJFD Chief Ben Stephens said. “His belief in what we were trying to build here made it possible for us to keep moving forward. We are grateful for everything he did to serve our staff and the residents of West Jackson.”
