Chase suspect in custody after firing shots into air in standoff on 210 Freeway in Azusa, CHP says

An armed suspect was taken into custody Sunday morning after a chase ended with a tense standoff on the 210 Freeway in Azusa, authorities said.

The pursuit initially began when deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s San Dimas station encountered a suspect with a gun, according to the California Highway Patrol.
