Chilly annual 89er parade in Guthrie

GUTHRIE, Oklahoma. (KFOR) – Spectators were all smiles at the 89er Days Parade In downtown Guthrie.

News 4’s Galen Culver, was the honorary grand marshal of Oklahoma’s oldest and longest parade.“They started right after the run and have been doing it right along here ever since. Hundred and 30, close to 140 years now. And, that’s it’s really cool. I can’t believe, somebody nominated me to be grand marshal. And here I am,” said Galen Culver, KFOR. Every year historic Guthrie puts on this amazing event along with other activities like a rodeo, a carnival and a chuckwagon dinner.Also joining the 89er Days Parade were Mecca Rayne and Caleb Britt,  the hosts of KFOR’s new lifestyle show, The Spotlight, seen weekday mornings at 11:30am.Interceptor 4, the 4 Warn Storm Team’s wild weather chase vehicle was also one of the crowd favorites.
