Oregon State Lands Guard Daniel Freitag

The Justin Joyner-era at Oregon State is starting off with a bang as the new staff has been hitting the transfer portal. This afternoon, Daniel Freitag from Buffalo committed to play for Joyner and the Beavers.

Freitag appeared in 23 games for the Bulls including 22 starts…Averaged 33.2 mpg, 19.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.8 apg and 1.3 spg…Scored in double figures 20 times on the season, with 10 20-point performances…Scored a career-high 33 points against Vermont (11/18), at Northern Illinois (12/31) and against Kent State (1/13)…Recorded a double-double at East Carolina (12/14) with 31 points and 11 rebounds…Consistantly led the team in points (8 times), rebounds (7 times) and assists (10 times)…Made a career-high 11 field goals at Northern Illinois (12/31) and against Kent State (1/13)…Recorded three games with 5+ made threes including a career-high six at Canisius (11/29) and against Kent State (1/13)…158 made free throws, the eighth most in a single season in program history…Made 14 free throws against RIT (11/15) and at (RV) Miami (OH) (1/17), tied for the sixth most in a single game in program history…Took home back-to-back MAC Player of the Week honors on Nov. 24 and Dec. 1 after he combined to score 60 points against Vermont and RIT, followed up leading the team with 56 points and 17 rebounds against Bucknell, VMI and Canisius…Earned All-MAC Honorable Mention…
