Parole board denied release for man convicted in 1990 Pittsfield murder

The Massachusetts Parole Board rejected the release of a 55-year-old man convicted of killing a woman in Pittsfield more than three decades ago.

The board issued its decision for Mark Banister on March 16, finding that Banister has not demonstrated sufficient rehabilitation to warrant his release. He is up for review in another two years.
