The arrest happened on Saturday, April 18 at approximately 12:23 p.m., when a fixed automated license plate reader alerted officers to a stolen 2007 Toyota Tundra traveling south on Stuyvesant Avenue from Rutherford Avenue in Lyndhurst, Lyndhurst PD Deputy Chief Paul Haggerty said.
Officer Salvatore Wartel responded to the area and spotted the vehicle stopped at a red light at the intersection of Valley Brook Avenue and Stuyvesant Avenue. Wartel confirmed the driver was the sole occupant and coordinated with additional patrol units over the radio.
