Woman killed in single-vehicle crash in Owensboro

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — One person is dead after a crash shut down a major road for several hours in Owensboro Saturday night.

The Owensboro Police Department responded to reports of a crash with injuries around 8 p.m. in the 2800 block of JR Miller Boulevard.

Police say 34-year-old Tina Brooks was driving southbound on JR Miller Boulevard, and left the roadway, striking a utility pole and tree. The impact caused the tree to fall, blocking the roadway for several hours…
