Woman Charged With Vehicular Homicide In Concord Pike Crash

A 35-year-old Wilmington woman has been charged following a fatal two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Rocky Run Parkway and Concord Pike, according to Delaware State Police.

The crash occurred at about 2:20 p.m. on April 18, 2026, when a gray Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound in the left-turn lane of Rocky Run Parkway and entered the intersection on a green arrow to turn north onto Concord Pike. At the same time, a white Ford Taurus was traveling southbound on Concord Pike and failed to stop for a red light, police said. The front of the Ford then struck the left side of the Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota, a 72-year-old Newark man, was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. Authorities said his name is being withheld pending notification of family…
