Jackson Mayor John Horhn’s goal is to repave 450 streets by 2027 as crews move into the next phase of an ongoing resurfacing program.
The effort began in October 2023, under former Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, when Jackson’s One Percent Sales Tax Commission selected its first round of neighborhood streets based on submissions from neighborhood associations across the city.
