Amtrak cancels Auto Train, Florida passenger trains amid Jacksonville-area brush fires

ORLANDO, Fla. – Amtrak has canceled its train routes in and out of Florida because of two large brush fires in the northeast part of the state.

The Auto Train and Silver Meteor trains have both been canceled because of two brush fires in Clay and Putnam counties that are near each other.

The fire in Clay County has burned some 1,7000 acres and remained uncontained, according to the Florida Forest Service. It’s in the southeastern corner of the county…
