2 people in Horry County facing charges involving dogfighting

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is charging two individuals with multiple counts relating to a dogfighting investigation.

On Wednesday, April 15, SLED has charged Prentice Shiobhan Jackson, 47, with:

  • 33 counts of Ill Treatment of Animals
  • 16 counts of Animal Fighting or Baiting, and Criminal Conspiracy

SLED has also charged Rontisha Elena Huggins-Jackson, 48, with Criminal Conspiracy.

According to an arrest warrant, SLED executed a search warrant at the residence and found 33 dogs. Many were found to be underweight and suffering from untreated medical conditions…
