A deadly shooting in Philadelphia’s Fairhill neighborhood on Tuesday evening left one man dead and another critically wounded, with investigators recovering almost two dozen shell casings from the vicinity.

The violence erupted around 9:45 p.m. near the intersection of North Howard Street and West Lehigh Avenue, according to Philadelphia police.

Officers responding to the scene discovered a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency services were quickly on the scene, but while the man was soon transported to an area hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Second Victim Shot Seven Times

A 25-year-old man was identified as the second victim in the shooting, sustaining multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. Police reported the man was struck seven times and rushed to a hospital, though his current condition remains unknown.
