Crime, Crashes, and DUI Arrests Mount Across Chester County

EMBREEVILLE, PA — Pennsylvania State Police in Embreeville recently released reports on a wide range of incidents across Chester County and nearby Lancaster County from late January through mid-April, including alleged DUI arrests, thefts, harassment complaints, assault and sexual abuse investigations, dog law violations, criminal mischief, and multiple crashes with reported injuries.

Troopers reported that between January 20 and February 2, they investigated the unauthorized use of a vehicle on West Lincoln Highway in Valley Township involving a 57-year-old Downingtown man and a 2012 white vehicle. On February 1 at 6:33 p.m., police said a 33-year-old Coatesville woman reported receiving harassing text messages from an unknown person on Carnelian Court in South Coatesville Borough. On February 14 at 6:26 p.m., troopers were notified of criminal mischief involving a mailbox on Pumpkin Hill Road in West Nantmeal Township, where police said a mailbox valued at $200 was damaged.

On February 19 at 8:08 p.m., police reported the theft of an orange-and-black InMotion V11 electric unicycle valued at $800 from Pleasant View Road in Honey Brook Township. According to troopers, the unicycle was allegedly taken from the driveway of an Amish residence and later listed on Facebook Marketplace, where the identified seller claimed ownership. On March 5 at 2:08 a.m., troopers responded to Chestnut Tree Road in Honey Brook Township for the reported theft of a black 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche bearing Pennsylvania registration NVB4231.
