GEORGETOWN — Delaware State Parks manages 17 state parks, 22 nature preserves and the Brandywine Zoo while preserving more than 27,000 acres across the state, many of which — but not all — are hosting Earth Day events throughout the week of April 22.
These events range from hikes to cleanups and tree plantings as well as other programs at parks and public spaces across the state.
As it is also the 75th anniversary of Delaware State Parks and the semiquincentennial of the United States, parks — sometimes called the nation’s best idea — are certain to be featured heavily in the coming months…
