Severe storm chances return to Kansas on Thursday

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It is a chilly start to the work week with wake-up temperatures in the 30s and 40s. Expect a stronger south breeze, mainly sunny skies, and highs in the middle to upper 70s this afternoon.

Tuesday will be a carbon copy of today before clouds and slightly cooler temperatures come back to Kansas on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday, but only across western Kansas will be our next chance of showers and storms. While nothing heavy nor widespread is expected, the chance of much needed moisture is climbing.

The main event will take place across central and eastern Kansas on Thursday. A cold front will help ignite scattered showers and storms during the afternoon and evening hours, and some of those storms will be strong, if not severe…
