LEHIGHTON, Pa. – A bomb squad was called to the American Legion Post in Lehighton on Monday after a suspicious package was found outside the building.
911 dispatchers say the call came in shortly after 3 p.m. for a package located outside the Legion on Bridge Street.
Authorities shut down a two‑block area around the scene while they investigated. A representative from the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office responded, and the Allentown Fire Department confirmed that the bomb squad was called in.
