The Claymont Foundation will host its annual Alumni Awards Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Claymont High School. The event will include scholarship presentations to current Claymont seniors, Buckeye Career Center students and college and technical students who graduated from Claymont. The foundation also will recognize its 2026 alumni award winners.
The Alumnus Achievement Award, presented to an individual whose contributions have made an impact on society and the community, will go to Jeffrey White, a 1976 Claymont graduate.
White is a lifelong member of the Twin City community. He attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College, the University of Arizona and Kent State University before returning to the Twin Cities, where he built a career and raised a family with his wife, Sherry.
