COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A Columbus artist who has a passion for painting is grateful to still be alive. Margarete Keopfer recently had a brush with death that helped her see her own mortality through a different light.
She has a talent for bringing things to life on a canvas. Her colorful paintings decorate the walls throughout her home. Margarete is a woman of strong faith. That faith has been tested lately during a health crisis.
“Last year in March I fell and broke a bone in my back,” Margarete recalled. “My daughter came from Atlanta and took me to the ER. This is how God works. They found out that I have a blockage in my mesenteric artery, but it was only 50 percent, so they couldn’t do anything to it because my back was broken.”…
