MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Amanda Morgan is charged with felony murder and child abuse after being accused of severely neglecting her two autistic children.

Prosecutors said the 14-year-old child died when a blanket wrapped around his neck, as a cape strangled him.
“That was sort of a comfort mechanism, but it was the long period of alleged neglect that led to a situation where the child accidentally strangled himself,” Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood said.
