Six school districts join PIAA in bid to toss Bishop McCort case over conference rules

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Several public school districts and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) are moving to dismiss Bishop McCort Catholic Academy’s federal lawsuit, even as the school seeks time to pursue a potential settlement.

In a series of filings submitted Monday, attorneys for multiple public school districts — including Penn Cambria, Forest Hills, Greater Johnstown, Bedford Area, Somerset Area, and Westmont Hilltop — asked a federal judge to throw out the case entirely.
