Vallejo Street Showdown: Gunfire, High-Speed Chase And Crash Rock Quiet Block

An afternoon burst of gunfire on a Vallejo cul-de-sac on April 4 spiraled into a high-speed chase, a mangled utility pole and one suspect in custody, according to police. Around 2:04 PM, a resident on the 200 block of Cadloni Lane told officers he heard shots outside, retreated indoors and called 911 after three men approached and demanded he apologize to a friend.

Witnesses reported hearing additional gunfire and seeing the trio run off. One of the men was then seen getting into a brown Honda that matched the description broadcast to officers. Police say the driver took off and ultimately collided with a utility pole near Alameda Street and Springs Road. Officers later reported finding an unserialized, loaded handgun on the front passenger floorboard.

How Police Say The Chase Unfolded

According to the Vallejo Police Department, Patrol Division officers were dispatched to Cadloni Lane after the initial shots-fired report. Once in the area, officers located a vehicle that they say matched the description provided by witnesses and tried to pull it over. When the driver allegedly refused to stop, officers initiated a pursuit.
