A Central Texas woman is sharing a warning after a parasite linked to “kissing bugs” killed her dog, with veterinarians saying the disease is present across Texas, including the San Antonio area.
Becky Roche said her Belgian Malinois puppy, Ranger, collapsed while playing fetch in her yard last October. He was rushed to a veterinarian, where Chagas disease was quickly suspected, according to KXAN Austin.
