Students compete for $1 million in startup competition

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The University of Arizona hosted the Hult Prize Western Regional Finals, the world’s largest student startup competition.

Students from colleges and universities across the U.S. competed, including one team from the University of Arizona.

University of Arizona students Safiya Terazi and Kian Sadat were one of eight teams selected to pitch their startup in front of a panel of judges. While they were not picked as the winners of the western regional competition, they said they still plan to bring their business idea to life…
