COLUMBIA, S.C. — A new student housing development is underway in Columbia, as Landmark Properties and Silverpeak Real Estate Partners break ground on The Walk on Shop Road, a townhome-style community aimed at serving students at the University of South Carolina and the surrounding area.
The project comes as students continue to voice concerns about finding available housing near campus.
