Dispose of unused medications at these Downriver locations for Drug Take Back Day

Several Downriver area police departments will accept the disposal of expired and unused prescription medications on Saturday, April 25.

The annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and local enforcement and community organizations.

The 30th iteration of the event at nearly 600 locations in Michigan and Ohio and 4,200 sites around the nation provides people with a safe and anonymous way to dispose of unused medications, DEA officials said in a press release.
