McCammon’s Irish Market closes as bankruptcy case dismissed, future uncertain

McCammon’s Irish Market, a longtime destination for garden supplies and specialty goods, has closed its Brownsburg store following the dismissal of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, leaving its future uncertain and the community without a familiar seasonal staple.

Court records show the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana dismissed the company’s Chapter 11 filing on April 14 and barred McCammon’s Irish Market, LLC from refiling for two years. The business initially filed for bankruptcy protection March 2.

The closure follows a series of financial and legal challenges for the company, owned by Garry and Mary Jane Ward. The Wards opened the Brownsburg location in 2020 at the former Frazee’s Garden Center site along Ind. 267.
