Meta Platforms and Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) have launched a workforce development partnership aimed at training workers for careers in data center construction.
The initiative, called America’s Workforce Academy, includes a $115 million investment in training programs in Indiana, Louisiana, Ohio and Texas. Participants who qualify for the program will receive scholarships, housing assistance, travel support and living stipends.
The program combines career readiness and safety instruction with five weeks of hands-on training focused on core construction skills and craft-specific education. Participants who complete the program will receive job offers from contractors working on Meta projects…
