City of Tallahassee fended off cyberattack with no operational impact

TALLAHASSEE — City leaders in Tallahassee say they managed to fend off a cyberattack that affected portions of the city’s technology late last week, with officials reporting no operational impact.

In an email sent to the mayor and city commissioners, the assistant city manager said city systems alerted staff of the attack Friday. The email said staff then isolated the threat, assessed systems and worked to contain the incident.
