ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Harlem girls softball team ran its NIC-10 record to 5-0 and its overall record to 11-3 Monday by defeating Guilford 14-0 in four innings.The Huskies scored four runs in the top of the first inning and seven more in the second to leave no doubt where this game was headed. The Huskies veteran lineup overmatched Guilford freshman starting pitcher Lennon Kilbreath. Harlem first baseman Olivia Kucher had the big blow in that big second inning. She had a bases loaded double that drove in all three runners.Harlem shortstop Ellie Schumann added a pair of hits. Catcher and leadoff hitter Adriah Sholl also had two hits, and she drove in a run. Addy Toltzman added an RBI double.Harlem pitcher Rylie Adams was in control in the circle. She pitched all four innings allowing only two hits while striking out five batters.
